Air Force: Following the news of a 27-year-old cadet trainee dead on the college campus, six air force officers have been charged with murder in Bengaluru. According to reports, the event happened on Saturday at the Air Force Technical College (AFTC) in Jalahalli.
As per the sources, the cadet trainee allegedly committed himself after a court of inquiry was mandated against him. In his note of suicide, the cadet trainee Ankit Kumar Jha identified officials with the positions of air commodore, wing commander, and group captain. Ankit Jha’s family claims that he was subjected to frequent abuse and torture on the college premises. He was relieved of his duties after disciplinary action was started against him, asserted the investigating officials.

The 27-year-old air force cadet was discovered hanging in his dorm room on Wednesday, according to the authorities. A seven-page letter that purportedly identified six persons, including an air commodore, a group captain, and a wing commander, was also found in the hostel room, leading the police to initially believe it was a suicide case.
However, the cadet’s family claimed that he was murdered because he was distraught over being released from the military after a disciplinary investigation.

“While talking to me over the phone, he said he was being forced to sign certain documents,” alleged his cousin. “He was under severe mental trauma as disciplinary action was taken against him. He was earlier also terminated in July. The details of his termination cannot be shared unless his parents allow me to do so.”
A senior cop, Vinayak Patil, investigating the case said, “The alleged accused are not absconding. The FIR was registered by the brother of the victim. We are gathering evidence against the claims and allegations made by the family members and also in the suicide note. A Court of inquiry was ordered against the victim and it was on the same day that he was removed from training. After this disciplinary action that was initiated against him, he was found hanging in a room in the campus.”
