Delhi-NCR: In the days running up to Diwali, Delhi-NCR has been experiencing a frenzied rush that has caused miles-long traffic bottlenecks on major roads.
While the traffic in the nation’s capital was kept moving on Sunday by the traffic police, in Noida, the continuing celebrations caused traffic to halt in several areas of Noida and surrounding areas in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.
The Greater Noida area’s Pari Chowk and Manesar bus stop both received traffic alerts from the official Noida and Gurugram Traffic Police Twitter account.
Delhi gridlock
In areas like Anand Vihar, Karol Bagh, Azadpur, and many other places, traffic moved slowly on Dhanteras.
Numerous commuters from different parts of the city called the traffic control room to voice their complaints about the congested crossings.
On Sunday, though, the traffic situation was noticeably better, and there were no significant backups.
