Weather Update: Due to the Northeast monsoon, several southern Indian states, including Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and portions of Karnataka, are anticipated to see severe rainfall during the next several days. Rains associated with the Northeast Monsoon are anticipated to start falling over Southeast Peninsular India around October 29.
The storm of Sitrang has now fully receded after wreaking significant havoc in the northeastern regions of India and Bangladesh. In Assam and the neighbouring territories, this storm is currently weakening. It may rain quite a little in these states over the next day.

Over Assam, Nagaland, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, isolated showers and thunderstorms are probable.
In Northern India, as well as Central, Western, Eastern, and Southern India, the quality of the air is likely to be quite bad.
