Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan was attacked on Thursday (November 3). On the matter of firing at Imran Khan’s rally, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that we are closely monitoring the incident and we will continue to monitor the ongoing developments.
Arindam Bagchi further said that we have seen that the joint statement issued after the visit of the Prime Minister of Pakistan to China contains many inappropriate references to the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Arindam Bagchi said, “The Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are an integral and inseparable part of India and always will be.”
The injured Imran Khan has been admitted to a hospital in Lahore for treatment. Apart from Imran Khan, many of his colleagues and workers have also been injured in this attack. One person has died in this attack while 6 people are injured. At the same time, suspicion is being raised in Pakistan that the police opened fire. However, the attacker has been arrested.
Arindam Bagchi has given a stern warning to Pakistan on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir, saying that we completely reject any attempt to use such projects to change the status quo in the region, to involve third parties in such activities. Any attempt is inherently illegal, illegitimate and unacceptable.
India again protested against CPEC
While addressing the media, the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs simultaneously targeted Pakistan and China. He said that as far as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEI) is concerned, we have consistently conveyed our opposition and concerns to China and Pakistan. CPEC includes projects in the sovereign territory of India that are under forced and illegal outside occupation.
