IND vs ENG, T20 World Cup 2022: The finale for the T20 World Cup 2022 is all set to take place between Pakistan and England as the latter has managed to defeat team India by 9 wickets. After winning the toss, England had decided to bowl first and their decision really worked out. They were able to restrict team India to a total of 169 runs after 20 overs.
The target, which was believed to be atleast little tough for the England, turned out to be the easiest. They managed to chase down the target with four overs i.e. 24 balls remaining. With this, India’s hope to win an ICC trophy has been tarnished once again and the draught for the same continues. England has managed to make second appearance in finals in three editions of T20 World Cup.

India failed to take even one wicket
For England, both the openers did an excellent job as they only managed to win the game for their country because not even a single wicket fell. Skipper Jos Buttler scored 80* from 49 balls while Alex Hales scored 86 from 47 balls. Let aside the wicket, none of the Indian bowler could even manage to put pressure on them through any point of the game.
During their spell of two overs, Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave 25 runs, and Ashwin gave 27 runs. World Cup debutant Arshdeep Singh gave 15 runs in his two over spell, while Hardik Pandya gave away 34 runs in his three over spell. Axar Patel gave 30 runs in his four over spell. Mohammed Shami, jasprit Bumrah’s replacement, gave away 39 runs in his three over spell.
Virat and Hardik Pandya’s knock went in vain
he Men in Blue had a shaky start as the opener KL Rahul failed to fired yet again and was dismissed for 5 off 5 balls. Skipper Rohit Sharma scored 27 off 28 balls. However, Virat Kohli once again took the match in his hands and ensured that the team reaches to a decent total. But it was Hardik Pandya’s cameo in the end which took India to a high-scoring total.
Virat Kohli made 50 off 40 balls as he went on to score fourth fifty of the tournament. Hardik Pandya was promoted up in the order, and rightly so, as he scored 63 from 32 balls. Rishabh Pant, who was playing just the second match in the tournament scored 6 off 4 balls. However, hardik pandya was bowled out in the last ball of the innings.
