Bharat Jodo Yatra: The Bharat Jodo Yatra will arrive here on November 28. A sweets store in the Indore district of Madhya Pradesh has received a letter threatening to carry out bomb attacks in the city if Rahul Gandhi, Congress workers, and supporters make a scheduled overnight stay at a nearby stadium. The neighbourhood police have launched an inquiry to identify the author of the threat letter in light of it. According to a police spokesman, authorities have also filed a complaint against an unnamed individual in this regard and believe the threat was a hoax.

The commissioner of police in Indore informed
H C Mishra, the commissioner of police in Indore, reportedly said, “A sweet-snacks shop in Juni area of the city has received a letter on Thursday evening, which says that if the participants of the Rahul Gandhi-led yatra stay at the Khalsa stadium, bomb blasts could be carried out in the city.”

He also noted that the bombing of Gandhi is not specifically mentioned in the anonymous letter. In this regard, a first information report (FIR) has been filed under section 507 of the Indian Penal Code (criminal intimidation by an unidentified person). “We have started an investigation into the threat letter. However, we suspect that this act was done by some mischievous elements,” explained Mishra.
Nilabh Shukla, the state congress secretary, called for an investigation into the letter and emphasised the necessity for more robust security measures during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. On November 20, the march’s entry into Madhya Pradesh will take place while it is still in Maharashtra.
