Star India batter Virat Kohli has achieved yet another milestone but this time not in the field of cricket. Kohli has become the first cricketer to cross over 50 million followers on all three major social media handles (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).
Kohli’s social media presence on Instagram has been in the headlines throughout 2022. He first became the first cricketer to cross the 100-million-mark and then 200. He is the only cricketer in the world who has social media engagement of over 500 million in a month.
He became the first and only cricketer to claim this milestone when he clocked 50 million followers on Facebook.
The star batter is currently on a break after T20 World Cup 2022 where India failed to reach the final. The 34-year-old was the leading run-scorer in the marquee event with 296 runs. He scored runs at an average of 98.67 in the tournament.

Former India skipper made a terrific comeback in form during the Asia Cup where he smashed his first T20I ton. He scored 122 runs vs Afghanistan in India’s last clash of the tournament. India failed to reach the final Asia Cup as well but team gained a huge boost post Kohli’s return to form.
Kohli will next feature in the upcoming ODI series in Bangladesh starting Sunday.
