Dream Girl 2: Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday are set to collaborate for Dream 2, a sequel to 2019 hit comedy flick Dream Girl. While Ayushmann Khurrana, Raaj Shaandilya and Ekta Kapoor have reunited for the film, Ananya Pandya is the fresh addition to he film, replacing Bhumi Pednekar. Now, as per the latest updates, the makers have postponed the release date of the film.

The makers have earlier shared a teaser revealing the release date of the Dream Girl 2. Now, the makers have preponed the film. Earlier, the film was scheduled to hit theatres on June 29. Now, the film will release on July 7, 2023. The film will now avoid clash will Kartik Aaryan’s Satyprem Ki Katha and Salman Khan starrer Tiger 3.

The teaser of the film was dropped in September, introducing the star cast of the film. It also gave a sneak peek into the mad ride, mentioning “Bollywood ko nazar lag gayi hai,” referring to the boycott trend in the film industry. After introducing the film’s impressive cast including Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Manoj Joshi, Seema Pahwa, Manjot Singh and Abhishek Banerjee, Ananya Panday enters the frame as Pooja, much to everyone’s shock.

The first installment of the film featured Ayushmann Khurrana alongside Nushrratt Bharuccha, Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz and Manjot Singh in pivotal roles. The film was directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and it was produced by Ekta Kapoor.
Dream Girl showcased the story of Karamveer Singh (Ayushmann), who takes up the job at a call center, where he talks to people as a phone pal in the voice of a girl named Pooja. Amid the process, everyone competes for Pooja’s attention, which leads to a comedy of errors.
