Balkaur Singh, father of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, on Thursday demanded the central government to announce a reward of Rs 2 crore for any information that would help in the arrest of Canada-based ‘gangster’ Goldy Brar, the conspirator in the murder of his son.
Moosewala father ready to pay the prize money from his own pocket
Singh said that if the government is unable to give such a huge amount, then he is ready to give the reward from his own pocket. He said, “I promise that if it (the government) cannot give that much amount, I will give money from my pocket, even if I have to sell my land.” Addressing an event in Amritsar, Singh cited the example of the Australian police announcing a reward of 1 million Australian dollars for the arrest of an Indian-origin national who fled after killing a woman four years ago.
Brar took the responsibility of killing Sidhu Moosewala
Singh demanded that Brar should be brought to India, so that he could face the law here for his crimes. Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala, was shot dead on May 29 in Mansa district of Punjab. Brar, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the murder.
