Alia Bhatt: With the new year only a few days away, folks are busy making new resolutions. Being overweight is a big concern for everyone. And if you are one of those who want to remain fit but lack motivation, do not lose heart. There are easier and effective ways to lose weight. You can take inspiration from actor Alia Bhatt who lost 16 kgs in three months before making her debut in Bollywood.
Alia weighed 68 kgs
Alia is known for her stellar acting as well as beauty and fitness. The 29-year-old began her journey with Karan Johar’s film Student of the Year. Bagging the role was not easy for Alia as she was quite heavy and weighed 68 kgs. Within three months, before shooting for the film started, Alia had lost 16 kgs. She followed a strict diet plan in her fat to fit journey to achieve her goal.
Alia says she was overweight by 20 kgs when she went for auditions. She felt embarrassed among 500 girls and that’s when she decided to lose weight. She followed a strict diet besides spending some time in the gym to workout to lose weight.

Organic and healthy foods
Alia has included all organic and healthy foods in her diet. She likes sweets a lot but on the advice of her trainer, she now eats only vegetables and chicken.
Her breakfast includes plenty of anti-oxidants. She begins her day with herbal tea or coffee with no sugar. Seasonal fruits are a must. Egg white omelette, poha, cornflakes and bread are part of her regular breakfast.
Mid morning: Alia takes vegetable juice besides some fruit or idli sambar.
Lunch: Alia takes dal, roti and vegetables with very little or no oil.
Evening: One fruit besides tea or coffee with no sugar.
Dinner: She prefers light dinner. It mainly consists of roti, veggies, rice, dal or chicken,
Alia follows this diet along with her regular workout. She keeps the quantity less. As she takes 6-8 small meals, her metabolism has improved and there is no food craving.
