The last date for filing Income Tax Return (ITR) has been extended by one month. You can file your returns by 31 December 2020 for the year 2019-20. It is known that the last date for this was fixed on 30 November 2020.
So if you have not received the refund yet, you can check the status of your refund right from home. If you have to claim tax refund then filing ITR is necessary for this. When you file ITR, the Income Tax Department assesses it. If you get a refund, it is directly credited to the bank account.
