Tunisha Sharma suicide case: The Maharashtra government has been asked to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to look into the murder of actor Tunisha Sharma, according to the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA). She committed suicide on the set of her current programme Alibaba – Dastaan-e-Kabul on Saturday. Her co-star and boyfriend, Sheezan Khan, has been detained on allegations of abetting suicide.
‘We will request that SIT look into it’
AICWA had previously tweeted, “People on the set of the show Alibaba Chalis Chor claimed that actor Tunisha Sharma committed suicide. This event occurred in a Naigaon studio. We will request that SIT look into it. Suicides by actors are becoming more common in the film industry. This is a severe situation. God bless her spirit and give her family strength.”
According to ANI, AICWA president Suresh Shyamlal Gupta stated on Sunday, “We demand that the government appoint a SIT in Tunisha Sharma’s suicide case and conduct a thorough inquiry. I went to the set where Tunisha Sharma committed suicide today. I discovered that they were terrified.”
“Something must have gone wrong. On the set, women are not safe (of the television show that Tunisha was shooting for). The scene is in a remote area where people are frightened to commute. The government should look into this problem and have the death investigated by a SIT. Many things will be revealed following the inquiry “said the president of the AICWA.
Tunisha was in stress due to her breakup
Tunisha and Shezaan were in a relationship, which ended about a week ago, according to ANI. According to the Mumbai police, she was under stress, which is what drove her to the brink. Sheezan was charged with abetment to suicide under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code. Officials apprehended Sheezan.
