Best smartphones 2022: There are only a few days left till 2022 comes to an end, so it’s time to rank the top cell phones from the last 12 months. Once again, the typical suspects make the cut, but there have been some unexpected additions that are encouraging for the industry’s competitiveness.
The new iPhone 14 series debuted this year, with the Pro models receiving the majority of the attention. Samsung subsequently unveiled the completely redesigned Galaxy S22 Ultra, which now enables styluses and the Pixel 7 series. In addition, there is the Nothing Phone (1), which gave the market a unique flavour. But which of these do you believe performed the best in 2022? These phones received awards for their particular features, see the list below
Best phones
iPhone 14 – Best Camera
Because of their respective collaborations with Zeiss Optics and Leica, Vivo and Xiaomi are now considered to have good cameras. This is a testament to how far cameras have come. However, iPhones consistently win the prize for having the greatest camera on the market, and in this case, the iPhone 14 Pro.
While some of you could argue that Google makes a compelling case with the Pixel 7 Pro this year, the iPhones outperform the Android phones when it comes to their ability to film videos. In this category, the Pixel 7 Pro falls short of the iPhone 14 Pros because camera awards cannot be given solely based on their still photography capabilities.
Google Pixel 7 – Ultimate Value Phone
The Pixel 7 is an obvious choice for the value-for-money market because it is less expensive than other flagships, comes with stock Android and receives timely upgrades, and has a complete package, including dual cameras. It costs Rs 60,000 in India and has subtle features that extend its lifespan.
Samsung Galaxy S22 – The Big Phone
While Apple continues to dominate the photography market, Android phones outperform its competitor in the big phone space. This award goes to Samsung for the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which not only supports the S Pen but also has a huge display that is comparable to the iPhone 14 Pro Max. However, it appears that Samsung’s panel design and overall colour reproduction earn it the top spot.
Nothing Phone 1 – Best looking phone
Everyone was drawn in by the funky look of the Nothing Phone (1) and its obvious emphasis on a simple software interface. Carl Pei and Company succeeded in catching people’s attention, and the initial product is seen as a promising beginning for the business. It’s encouraging to see the brand focus on fewer items while enhancing its current models. The glyph interface was a special touch.
