While the majority of Iranians are mourning the deaths of innocent civilians, demonstrators in the southeast of the country chanted anti-Ayatollah Ali Khamenei chants on Friday.
Demonstrators in South East Iran go on rampage with protests & give clarion call ‘death to khomeni’
According to a human rights organization, at least 100 imprisoned protestors might still receive death sentences.
Since the middle of September, protests have been held against the leadership of the nation in response to the death in custody of a 22-year-old Kurdish-Iranian woman who had been detained for donning “inappropriate clothes” in violation of Iran’s strict Islamic dress code for women.
In a social media video purportedly from Zahedan, the capital of Sistan-Baluchistan province, demonstrators were heard chanting, “Death to the tyrant, Death to Khamenei!” in reference to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Up to 2 million members of Iran’s Baluch minority reside in the impoverished region, where human rights organisations claim they have long endured discrimination and harassment.

Iran’s currency loses quarter of its value, falls to record low in free-floating unofficial market
Iran’s currency has lost a quarter of its value and hit a record low on the unofficial free-floating market since the protests started more than three months ago as desperate Iranians bought US dollars and gold in a bid to safeguard their savings from inflation running at 50%.
Mohammad Reza Farzin, the country’s new governor of the central bank, stated on state television on Friday that the bank would interfere in the foreign exchange market to strengthen the rial.
Massive gathering of protestors near the cemeteries
To commemorate 40 days since the protestors’ deaths at the hands of Iranian security forces, large crowds of Iranian demonstrators gathered at the graves of the victims.
On the 40th day since his passing, a sizable group of protesters gathered outside Hamidreza Rouhi’s grave in Tehran’s Behesht-e Zahra Cemetery. “Death to the IRGC, death to the entire system!” were the protesters’ slogans.
