India wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant who recently suffered a horrific car accident has successfully undergone knee surgery in Mumbai. “Rishabh Pant has successfully undergone knee ligament surgery on Friday. He will be under observation. Further course of action and rehabilitation will be advised by Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala and followed by the BCCI sports science and medicine team,” a BCCI source told PTI.
Pant is admitted to Kokilaben Dhiruben Ambani hospital in Andheri and he is under the supervision of Dr. Pardiwala, the head of the Centre for Sports Medicine, and Director of Arthroscopy & Shoulder Service.
Airlifted to Mumbai from Dehradun
Pant was first admitted in Dehradun but later he was airlifted to Mumbai for better treatment. Pant suffered serious injuries during the accident and could miss cricket even for a year.
Pant managed to survive in disastrous accident
The 25-year-old was driving from Delhi to Roorkee to meet his family in the wee hours of December 30. He suffered multiple injuries after the disastrous accident where his car caught fire.
