NASA: In a recent video titled “NASA in 2023: A Look Ahead,” NASA Administrator Bill Nelson, a former senator, predicted that 2023 would be a pivotal year for space exploration and aviation. “We have set sail for the stars. Now we’re going to reach out to the unreachable stars,” he further added.
Bill claimed, citing Carl Sagan, “Exploration is in our nature. We began as wanderers, and we are wanderers still. We have lingered long enough on the shores of the cosmic ocean. We are ready at last to set sail for the stars.”
American astronomer, planetary scientist, and author Carl Edward Sagan was born in Brooklyn (New York) on November 9, 1934. His scientific studies on extraterrestrial life, which included an experimental demonstration of the creation of amino acids from basic chemicals by radiation, are what he is most known for.

The space agency’s forthcoming projects
The space agency’s forthcoming projects and missions to discover the mysteries of the Universe for the sake of humanity are highlighted in the film by Bill. He noted the TEMPO (Tropospheric Emission: Monitoring of Pollution) climate missions to investigate changes on Earth, as well as the revolutionary 59 “low-boom” supersonic jet and the X-57 prototype all-electric plane. The choice of the first astronauts to visit the moon in more than 50 years was also noted by him.
As he listed the significant advancements in spaceflight, astronomy, and aviation that the space agency has planned for 2023, Bill concluded, “And there’s a lot more coming.”
