Kuttey controversy: The Bollywood film Kuttey’s title has become a topic of controversy. The Rajasthan High Court received a petition on Tuesday against the title of Aasman Bhardwaj film Kuttey. The petition was filed by the daughter of a police officer in Rajasthan. The girl demanded that the name of the film be changed. She said in the plea that the title ‘demeans the police community’.
‘Police community demeaned’
“The story of the film revolves around the police force, which has also been shown in the trailer. The title of the film has been linked to the entire police community. The poster released has dogs depicted on the faces of the police officials,” the petition stated. The high Court will hear the petition on Jaunuary 12.
The movie that is set for release this Friday on January 13 is directed by Vishal Bharadwaj’s son Aasman Bharadwaj. The film has Arjun Kapoor, Tabu, Konkona Sen and Naseeruddin Shah in pivotal roles. The film has been issued A-certificate due to its dialogues and some scenes.

Hearing just a day before movie release
The petition filed in the Jodhpur High Court has demanded that the film be banned with immediate effect, otherwise it would not be appropriate. The Jodhpur High Court has also given the date of hearing on this petition as January 13, which is exactly one day before the release of the film.
In the recent past many Bollywood films have sparked huge controversies. Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s film Pathaan is created controversy over some scenes in the film, dialogues and even the colour of the actors’ dress. Petitions have been filed regarding many films in Rajasthan and big decisions have also come on these petitions.
