IND vs NZ: The team for both the first two Test matches against Australia and the limited-overs series against New Zealand was unveiled by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). While Hardik Pandya was kept as the team’s captain for the shortest format of the game, Prithvi Shaw was selected for the T20I squad to play New Zealand.
Rohit – Virat in IND vs NZ T20I series
India will be led by Rohit Sharma in both the Test against Australia and the ODI series against New Zealand. The participation of Ravindra Jadeja in the series against Australia is noteworthy; his availability is contingent on his level of fitness, while Shardul Thakur made a comeback for the ODI series against New Zealand.
None of the squads includes India bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who is currently recuperating from an injury. Bumrah’s absence will be a big setback for India, and his availability for the next two Test matches against Australia is still in question. Due to family obligations, KL Rahul and Axar Patel were not given consideration for the series against New Zealand. However, the T20I squad does not include Rohit & Virat, which now makes it clear that BCCI does not want either of them now in the T20I setup.
