Laxman pulls off an unbelievable catch at slips
Laxman recorded 135 Test cricket catches overall, which is second-most among Indians after Dravid’s 210 catches, and 39 One Day International catches (ODIs). The video used below is from a tri-series match between India, Australia, and Zimbabwe that took place in Australia in 2004. India and Zimbabwe were playing in the series’ seventh game at the illustrious Adelaide Oval.
India scored 280/7 in their 50 overs while batting first, which was their total for the innings. Laxman excelled with the willow and hit an incredible century. With 13 fours and a six, he scored 131 runs off 138 balls.
In response, Zimbabwe only made it to 277/6 in 50 overs and lost the match by three runs. In the second inning, Laxman, who was excellent at the plate, put in outstanding fielding work to get rid of Travis Friend.

Ajit Agarkar, a pacer, bowled the seventh over in which everything transpired. The batsman attempted to drive a nice length ball thrown by the right-armer around the off-stump towards mid-on, but the ball took an outside edge and sped off into the slip area. Laxman, who was working the second slip, dove to his right and pulled a screamer out of the sky.
In the year 2021, Laxman himself revealed that this is the best catch he took in his career.
