According to a tweet from CEO Elon Musk, a more expensive Twitter Blue subscription tier may be on the way. Musk claims that he and his team are developing ideas for a “higher cost” membership that will allow “zero advertisements” for Twitter Blue subscribers.

Since Musk’s tweet is the main source of information regarding the new Twitter Blue tier, the complete specifics are mostly unclear. A request for comment from Twitter did not immediately receive a response.

90% of Twitter’s revenue comes from selling digital ads
Nearly 90% of Twitter’s income comes from the sale of digital adverts, and Musk recently blamed a “huge loss in revenue” on rights groups that persuaded companies to suspend their Twitter advertising.
A higher tier without commercials will be available on Twitter by 2023, according to a statement made by Elon Musk earlier in December. Twitter’s Basic blue tick would have half as many advertisements.
