Pathaan Box Office Collection Worldwide: Shah Rukh Khan now has the audience on his side, especially given the events of the last year and his four consecutive commercial underperformers. Pathaan, Shah Rukh’s return to major roles after a four-year hiatus, is breaking box office records not only in India but also beyond.
Pathaan will reach better numbers on Day 2
The film is likely to have the highest opening day ever for a Hindi film in India, grossing over Rs 53 crore (Rs 55 crore including the Tamil and Telugu language releases). According to Pinkvilla, the film’s first-day gross is Rs 67 crore. PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis, three national cinema chains, have contributed approximately 50% of the film’s opening day stats, accounting for Rs 27 crore. Because of the Republic Day break, the film is projected to have an even better day two, passing the coveted Rs 100 crore mark in two days.
However, the picture has already passed that mark on a global scale. Pathaan earned an estimated $4.5 million (Rs 36 crore) from outside markets on day one, bringing its total revenue to more than Rs 102 crore. The global sum is expected to be between Rs 100 crore and Rs 110 crore, according to Box Office India. In either case, Pathaan has become the first Hindi film to earn more than Rs 100 crore on its first day of release.
Pathaan surpassed War and Thugs of Hindostan
North America is providing over $1.5 million on day one, while the Gulf countries are contributing over $1 million to the film’s international total. Domestically, the film has surpassed War and Thugs of Hindostan’s day one totals, and this on a non-holiday. There is a distinction between net and gross box office receipts. While gross box office collection comprises money received from the complete sale of film tickets, net is gross minus government deductions such as entertainment tax, service tax, and so on.
