Snowfall Update: The weather in Himachal Pradesh is expected to stay bright and clear across the state, with the exception of a couple of locations, until January 27. However, the Meteorological Center Shimla predicts that a new Western Disturbance is likely to hit the state from January 28, bringing with it the possibility of rain and snowfall.
When will the snowfall happen in Himachal Pradesh?
The intensity of the rainfall is expected to ramp up from January 29, with a yellow alert being issued for heavy rain and snowfall on January 29 and 30 in the middle and high hills regions of the state. Get ready for a snowy and wet adventure in the state.
On January 29 and 30, the Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain-snow advisory for the districts of Chamba, Kangra Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Lahaul-Spiti, and Kinnaur.
There is a warning there for low lying areas and the plains regarding rain and thunderstorms. Due to the sunshine in the nation’s capital Shimla and other areas, people experienced some relief from the cold on Thursday. On the other hand, the state’s more than 100 roadways have had traffic issues as a result of snowfall in the past. Additionally, the state now has a large number of blocked electric transformers.
