Delhi Mumbai Expressway: On February 12, Prime Minister Modi will officially inaugrate the Delhi Mumbai Expressway’s Sohna-Dausa section. Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister of Highways and Road Transport, just made the statement. Previously, February 4th was scheduled for the opening of this section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.
Only two hours for Delhi – Jaipur
The newest highway was just opened, and it is estimated that it would take little under two hours to travel between Delhi and Jaipur. The motorway is a “perfect example of world-class highway construction,” according to the government, and it stretches 1,450 kilometres.
The highway will speed up economic activities in two major cities while also reducing travel time, which will result in a considerable reduction in transportation costs. Taking to Twitter, “Change in the date. Now Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji will inaugurate the Sohna-Dausa stretch of the #Delhi_Mumbai_Expressway on 12th February.”
In another tweet, he wrote, “Covering a distance of 1,450 km, the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is a true example of world-class highway construction. Lessening the travel time by half, accelerates economical exercises in two major cities.”
Eight lane highway will pass through several states
The eight-lane highway that connects the six states of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra will enhance connectivity to major economic centres like Jaipur, Kishangarh, Ajmer, Kota, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Bhopal, Ujjain, Indore, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and Surat and bring prosperity to millions of people.
The Delhi-Faridabad-Sohna part of the corridor, together with a spur to Jewar Airport and Jawaharlal Nehru Port to Mumbai by a spur in Mumbai, would serve as the expressway’s conduit between the metropolitan centres of Delhi.
