Weather Update: The Indian Meteorological Department announced on Tuesday that a cold wave in North West India is unlikely to occur in the next 5-6 days, following recent rainfall and snowfall in certain areas of North India. The department also affirmed that the recent change in weather was due to the western disturbance/
IMD scientist Dr. Naresh remarked, “Due to fresh western disturbance,there will be light to moderate snowfall in the western Himalayan region. Because of this, there will be 2-3°C rise in temperature in 48 hours in North-west India. For next 5-6 days, there is unlikely any coldwave.” This also clears that this new month begin warmer.
Delhi
After days of coldwave and rains, the national capital will finally get relief today. For today, the skies will remain clear and the weather will be warmer. The maximum temperature today will be 21 degrees and minimum will be 9 degrees.
Mumbai
IMD has predicted that Mumbai will remain mostly sunny. However, a few parts are predicted to have isolated patches of cloud with haziness. For today, the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees and minimum will be 24 degrees.
Chennai
Chennai will be lashed by scattered showers today. Though, the morning will be clear and only the noons will witness rains. After which, rains are predicted for nights only. For today, the maximum temperature will be 29 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees.
Kolkata
Kolkata is predicted to remain partially cloudy today. The weather, however, will remain mostly pleasant. For today, the maximum temperature will be 30 degrees and minimum will be 17 degrees.

Heavy to moderate snowfall blanketed Himachal Pradesh’s higher terrain and tribal regions, slowing travel and interfering with everyday life. 3 national highways and 484 other roads were closed to vehicular traffic as a result of the snow.
