Tanisha Soni: Actor Tanisha Soni, who made her Bollywood debut with Gandhi; Ek Yudh, doesn’t believe there is any similarity between her and Shershah actor Kiara Advani. In an interview to a publication, Tanisha said, she doesn’t agree that she looks like the Shershah actor.
However, taking the comparison as a compliment, Tanisha said she has learnt a lot from Kiara. “Kiara is very beautiful and a great actor. She has always inspired me because even though her film did not do well, she did not give up. She learnt from her mistakes and worked hard. Today she is one of the most successful actors of Bollywood. I have learnt a lot from her. As for comparisons with Kiara, I don’t think I look like her. If you see Gandhi Ek Yudh, you will agree that there is no comparison between me and Kiara,” Tanisha said.
Raj Kumar Santoshi didn’t want to launch Tanisha
Gandhi Ek Yudh, directed by Tanisha’s father Raj Kumar Santoshi was released in theatres on January 26. Tanisha who had a key role in the film, said her father did not want to cast her in Gandhi Ek Yudh. In fact he did not want to launch his daughter. It was after much persuasion that he agreed to give her a role in the film.
Tanisha, who went to London to study direction and screen writing, said she was interested in making a career in films because of her filmi background.
Tanisha also opened up about her friendship with Janhvi Kapoor. “Our mothers were good friends. Though Janhvi is older to me, we are more like sisters. We have fone on holidays together and share a good rapport,” Tanisha said.
