Weather Update: The northern states of India could be in for another bout of cold weather as a western disturbance approaches. The IMD predicts that the disturbance will bring light to moderate rain or snowfall to the Western Himalayan region until February 12th. After that, the level of rainfall is expected to decrease.
Once the disturbance has passed, the wind direction will shift towards the northwest, leading to a drop in temperature in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Western Uttar Pradesh over the next 2-3 days. The IMD warns of a potential increase in the cold during this time.
Delhi
The national capital will experience pretty much clear weather today. However, the chilly winds will mark their comeback and the temperature will fall to single digit once again. For today, the maximum temperature will be 23 degrees while the minimum will be 9 degrees.
Mumbai
IMD predicts Mumbai and its suburbs to be clear and bright today. However, the mist will be present during the day. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 34 degrees and minimum will be 24 degrees.
Chennai
Clear and bright weather is forecast for Chennai in the latest weather update. No major shift in weather trends is anticipated for a few days. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 31 degrees while the minimum will be 21 degrees.
Kolkata
Some periodic clouds are predicted over Kolkata. However, the majority of the day will continue to be clear and bright. For today, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees and minimum will be 18 degrees.

The fresh weak Western Disturbance that is expected to impact the Western Himalayan region from February 14 is likely to bring about some much-needed rain and snowfall to the areas of Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh.
The Meteorological Department has reported that in the past 24 hours, some light rain has been observed in various places in North Haryana, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
