The same 155cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine powers the R15 V4. It now produces 18.4PS, which is 0.2 fewer than the earlier V3 model. On the other hand, torque stays the same at 14.2Nm. The engine is coupled to a six-speed transmission with a slip and assist clutch.
The same single-cylinder, 124.9cc, liquid-cooled engine that powers the KTM RC 125 continues to produce 14.9PS and 12Nm. KTM has, however, increased the torque spread by giving it a 40% bigger airbox. Additionally, a redesigned, curved radiator with two fans helps with heat management better than before to make life simpler.
Features
The R15’s fourth-generation model comes with an abundance of features. A new digital instrument console with Yamaha’s connectivity app and a bi-functional LED headlamp inspired by the YZF-R1 flanked by LED DRLs and indicators are added to the bike’s updated front end. Along with modes (Street and Track), a lap timer, gear position indication, call/message alerts, mobile battery status, connection status, average fuel efficiency, and last parking location, the display now includes average fuel efficiency and connection status. Additionally, statistics like the instantaneous fuel economy, intake air temperature, eco indication, degree of throttle opening, and acceleration rate are accessible. By including traction control, a quick-shifter, and a colour TFT panel as standard features, the R15M goes one step further. However, you might choose to add a quick shifter to the base variations.
The RC 125 supersport has recently undergone significant revisions. Similar to its older siblings, the RC 200 and the RC 390, it receives a new front fascia with a uni-pod halogen headlight. It also receives a new LED tail light and indicators with fairing integration. A new LCD console that resembles the one on the KTM 250 Adventure has been installed to replace the orange backlit instrument console.
Price in India
Priced at Rs. 1,80,900 and Rs. 1,81,900, respectively, are the Yamaha YZF-R15 V4 Metallic Red and Dark Knight models. Meanwhile, the R15M (Metallic Grey) model costs Rs 1,93,900, while the Racing Blue version costs Rs 1,85,900. The pricing of the special Yamaha R15M World GP 60th Edition is Rs 1,91,800. The RC 125, the smallest supersport offered by KTM, costs Rs 1,86,861. (ex-showroom Delhi).
