One of the most prominent women leader in Silicon Valley, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki has decided to step down after nine challenging years of helming the growth of world’s largest online video platform across geographies.

She has the distinction of being among Google’s earliest employees and has been with its parent company Alphabet Inc for last 25 years. In a blog in which she announced her resignation, she stated that she will focus on “family, health, and personal projects I’m passionate about.”
Wojcicki has an illustrious careen progression with Silicon valley giants, she has worked at Intel and Bain & Company. She was also a senior president for ad products at Google and became CEO of YouTube in 2014.
