IND vs AUS: On Friday, February 17th, India and Australia faced off in the second match of their four-match series at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. In the first match, Team India won by a significant margin of an innings and 132 runs, putting them ahead with a 1-0 lead in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2023. With the Rohit Sharma-led team looking to qualify for the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) final, the second match is crucial.
Laughter riot in second IND vs AUS test
Australia won the toss and chose to bat first in the second match. The Pat Cummins-led side made two changes to their lineup, with Travis Head and Matthew Kuhnemann replacing Matt Renshaw and Scott Boland. India made a single change to their playing XI, bringing in Shreyas Iyer for Suryakumar Yadav, who had made his Test debut in the previous match after recovering from a back injury.
During the 29th over of Australia’s first innings, a humorous incident occurred when Virat instructed bowler Ravichandran Ashwin about the batter in Hindi. However, Usman Khawaja understood the words, leading to laughter from the fielders. Virat was actually saying, “Ash… yeh ball maar raha tha yeh (Ash… he was going to hit that ball)”.

Australia suffered a major batting collapse in the first innings, managing only a total of 263 runs. The team is already trailing 0-1 in the Border Gavaskar Trophy after facing a huge defeat by an innings and 132 runs in the previous match held in Nagpur.
