Weather Update: The temperature has been gradually rising since the end of the cold season, with many states experiencing hot weather in February itself. In some areas of Gujarat and Rajasthan, the mercury has already crossed 30 degrees Celsius. However, hilly states are still receiving rain and snowfall, and the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of such conditions for the next three days. Additionally, thunderstorm alerts have been issued for some places. Unfortunately, no significant weather changes are expected over the next five days.
From February 19, the Western Himalayan region is expected to experience the impact of a Western Disturbance, resulting in light to moderate rainfall in Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand for three days. Additionally, a snowfall alert has been issued. Over the next two days, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Goa may experience the highest temperature between 37-39 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, over the next four to five days, there is a possibility of the minimum temperature increasing by two to three degrees Celsius in Northwest, Central India, and Maharashtra.
Delhi
The national capital is predicted to remain sunny and bright the whole day. However, moderate clouds are likely to take over city from night. The maximum temperature for today will be 29 degrees while the minimum will be 16 degrees.
Mumbai
As per the latest weather update, Mumbai will have the maximum temperature of 36 degrees and minimum will be 24 degrees. This uprising trend in temperatures is likely to continue for some time now.
Chennai
IMD predicts that Chennai will remain sunny and clear. This trend in weather pattern will continue in Chennai for upcoming weeks. For today, the maximum temperature will be 31 degrees and minimum will be 23 degrees.
Kolkata
Kolkata is predicted to remain partially overcast today. Though majority of the time, city will remain clear. The maximum temperature for today, will be 32 degrees and minimum will be 22 degrees.

Thunderstorms and lightning are likely to occur in certain areas of Jammu-Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan on February 20, with a possibility of thunderstorms in Himachal Pradesh on February 20 and 21, and Uttarakhand on February 21. In the Northeast region, light rain is expected from February 20 to 22 in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Sikkim, with the possibility of thunderstorms at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya on February 21 and 22.
