Results pouring in from Nagaland will surely put some smile in BJP Brass’s face in Delhi as ruling NDPP-BJP alliance seems to be marching ahead to power in Nagaland as per early trends of the State Assembly Elections. The trends indicate that NDPP-BJP was ahead in more than 40 seats while NPF had taken an early lead in six seats. In Meghalaya, according to early trends NPP is set to emerge as the single largest party.
2. Shot in the Arm for Atmanirbhar Bharat as Cabinet approves procurement of HTT 40 trainer aircraft, Cadet training ships for Rs 9,939 crore
In a major boost for Atmanirbharta or self-reliance in developing Military Industrial Complex, which will boost MSME’s and generate jobs in the local economy, the Union Cabinet has given approval for the procurement of 70 HTT-40 Basic Trainer Aircraft (BTA) at a cost of Rs 6,828.36 crore. Another significant indigenous project is the acquisition of three Cadet Training Ships from Larsen & Tourbo Limited (L & T) at a cost of 3,108.90. The delivery of the ships is scheduled to commence from 2026.
