CISF Raising Day 2023: On the Central Industrial Security Force’s (CISF) 54th “Raising Day,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the organisation his warmest wishes on Friday. The force is praised by PM Modi for playing a significant part in ensuring the country’s essential infrastructure is secure around-the-clock and for their dedication to their jobs.

“On their Raising Day, best wishes to all @CISFHQrs personnel. The CISF has a vital role in our security apparatus. They provide round the clock security at key locations including critical and strategic infrastructure. The force is known for its hard work and professional outlook,” PM Modi tweeted. The CISF, one of six paramilitary forces in the nation, was established on March 10 of each year as the Raising Day under the Union ministry of home affairs. The responsibility for protecting important commercial and government structures falls to the CISF. Via a different statute, the force was integrated into the armed forces in 1989. It had a starting strength of 3,129 when it was constituted under the CISF Act.

Remembering the Past, Securing the Future: CISF’s Remarkable Journey
In addition to remembering its creation’s history, the CISF shed light on the enormous fire that occurred in 1964 at the Heavy Engineering Corporation facility in Ranchi. “RISING LIKE A PHOENIX. A devastating fire broke out at HEC Ranchi in 1964 & subsequently functioning of PSUs were disrupted at Ranchi, Rourkela etc that triggered the creation of #CISF for better protection & security of the PSUs,” it said.
