IND vs AUS: On the fourth day of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy’s fourth Test match between India and Australia, the game took an exciting turn. The match, being played at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, had already seen Australia score 480 runs, but India mounted a strong response during the afternoon session. KS Bharat goes berserk
Shubman Gill’s second Test century, combined with Virat Kohli’s long-awaited 28th Test century, helped India reach a score of 538 for the loss of five wickets in 170 overs. The impressive batting display by the Indian team has set the stage for a thrilling conclusion to the Test match.
The Australian all-rounder resorted to the short-ball strategy to make things difficult for Bharat, but his plan backfired when Bharat retaliated with a series of counter-attacks, smashing him for two impressive sixes. Bharat’s powerful shots ignited the crowd, who erupted in excitement, and the videos of his sixes are now creating a buzz on various social media platforms. Bharat’s excellent performance not only silenced his critics but also helped him emerge as a new hero for Indian cricket fans.

Bharat’s stellar performance was unfortunately cut short when he was dismissed by Nathan Lyon on the fourth ball of the 137th over, depriving him of a well-deserved maiden Test fifty as he was out on 44 runs. Lyon’s successful dismissal of Bharat also made history as he became the highest overseas wicket-taker in India. With Bharat’s wicket, Lyon now has 55 Test wickets in India, a feat unmatched by any other bowler from outside India.
