Cricket Viral Video: Former Indian cricketer and renowned batter VVS Laxman is widely known for his cool and calm personality. Even on-field, he was rarely spotted involved in heated exchanges. However, even his die-hard fans are unware that he once got very angry at then-young spinner Pragyan Ojan in the middle of the pitch and even threatened to beat him with the bat.
VVS Laxman’s lesser known incident
In 2010, during the Mohali Test match against Australia, VVS Laxman displayed a rare outburst towards his teammate, Pragyan Ojha, during a crucial moment of the game. With India needing only six runs to secure a historic victory over the then World Champions, Laxman hit the ball down the ground and his partner set off for a single.
However, there was confusion with non-striker Ojha, and he came close to being run out, which could have led to India losing the match. This incident led to Laxman losing his temper and directing his frustration towards Ojha. Laxman was furious and expressed his anger towards his partner using strong words and aggressive body language. He even threatened to hit him with his bat menacingly to convey his point and make it clear that he would not tolerate any more mistakes from his teammate.

After a hard-fought battle, India managed to chase down the target and secure a historic victory by one wcket. VVS Laxman played a vital role in this win, remaining unbeaten on 73 runs off just 79 balls. Australia went on to lose the next Test match in Bengaluru as well, resulting in India winning the series 2-0.
