GG vs UPW WPL 2023: Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz are currently battling at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai for a place in knockouts. Batting first, GG scored 178 runs and put on a challenging task. However, in the second innings, their bowlers stepped in as well. Remarkably, Monica Patel grabbed the first wicket and ended up in a heating battle that occurred in previous balls.

Coming to chase, UP Warriorz scored just 5 runs in the first over. Then, skipper gave the charge to Monica Patel to draw in some wickets initially. However, the over didn’t start in favour of GG. Skipper and opener Allysa Healy smashed two powerful boundaries to her on the second and third ball of the over.
The intensity of the match had started to rise up even more with back to back boundaries but Monica Patel eventually bounced back. After the fourth ball went dot, Healy tried attacking on the fifth ball, but, ended up losing her wicket as she was caught out by Harleen Deol at the square leg. The celebration by Monica Patel too went viral across social media.
