To prevent illegal mining, intensive action has been taken by the Rajasthan Police by conducting a special campaign against illegal mining, illegal extraction and illegal storage across the state.
During this operation, a total of 813 cases of illegal mining were registered and 330 persons were arrested by registering 397 FIRs. Along with this, illegal storage of 7472 tonnes of minerals along with 633 tractor trolleys, 273 dumper wagons and trucks, 15 HEMM machines and 33 other machines have also been seized.
Director General of Police Umesh Mishra said that all range Inspector Generals and Commissioners of Police had been directed to take action against illegal mining issue and storage on this one day. He told that this action was taken with adequate police force after making necessary preparations in the entire state. Mishra said that a total of 15 cases including 10 cases of illegal mining and 5 cases of illegal emission were registered in Jodhpur Rural, Pali, Barmer, Jalore, Sirohi and Jaisalmer districts in Jodhpur range. In these cases, 8 FIRs were registered and 8 persons were arrested. In Jodhpur range, 34 tractor trolleys, 18 dumper trolleys and trucks, 5 HEMM machines and 1 other machine were seized.
Along with this, 434 tonnes of minerals have also been seized in illegal storage. Dumper trucks and 20 tonnes of stones going to Jodhpur Commissionerate were pelted. Similarly, action was taken in total 167 cases including 31 cases of illegal mining and 136 cases of illegal emission in Bharatpur, Dhaulpur, Karauli and Sawaimadhopur districts of Bharatpur range.
75 FIRs registered
In these cases, 75 FIRs were registered and 53 persons were arrested. Illegally stored 1965 mineral quantity including 103 tractor trolley, 49 dumper trolley, truck 3 HEMM machines, 14 other machinery were seized in Bharatpur range.
The Director General of Police said that a total of 173 cases including 3 cases of illegal mining, 169 cases of illegal issuance and one case of illegal storage were registered in Ajmer, Bhilwara and Nagaur districts of Ajmer range.
A total of 142 FIRs were registered in these cases and 121 persons were arrested.
