Honda: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter’s Indian division has announced the date by which the business will declare its presence in the electric vehicle market. In this article, we will tell you all about it.
Honda Electric scooters
Honda has confirmed that it will introduce two electric scooters by the year 2024, establishing its presence in the electric scooter market. Atsushi Ogata added that in order to fulfil the rising demand for electric vehicles, we are establishing a specialised production facility at the Narasapura plant in Karnataka. This factory will only produce electric vehicles. The PCU and batteries will be produced domestically by the company.
Activa Electric
The company has not yet disclosed if an electric version of one of the current scooters will be introduced or if a brand-new electric scooter will be introduced to the market. Activa’s electric avatar, however, may be brought by the corporation, according to media reports. The EM1E scooter, which was also on display at EACMA, will be the alternate model.
Battery details
The second model with a swappable battery pack will be unveiled at the same time by the company. But first, the corporation will establish battery exchange stations across the nation. The business states that it intends to install battery-swapping stations at its more than 6,000 touchpoints across the nation with the charging infrastructure. Moreover, some of these will eventually be transformed into Workshop “E.”
