DC vs GT IPL 2023: Anrich Nortje could not be a part of his team Delhi Capitals’ opening match as he was playing for his national team, South Africa. Resultantly, the team also missed his skills as they lost the match by 50 runs. However, he joined the team for their second match, happening against Gujarat Titans and he showed his wrath and value with pace. He dismissed star opener Shubman Gill by bowling out, who appeared to be completely clueless.
Anrich Nortje Bowls out Shubman
Batting first, Delhi Capitals had scored 162/8 in 20 overs. The score was seemingly less than the rest of the matches that have been played so far. However, their bowlers ensured that Gujarat Titans don’t get along in the chase. Giving the first blow to the team, Nortje bowled out Saha (14 off 7) on his first-ever ball of the season which came at a speed of 143.5 kph.
After the stunning over, he was called up to bowl the fifth over again. This time, he once again strikes on the first ball and bowled out Shubman Gill. It was a seamer on the length which Gill failed to read completely. Batter came forward in the attempt to hit the ball but failed as until then Nortje scrambled the stumps. Gill was dismissed with a score of 14 runs off 13 balls on 4.1 over.
