Union Health Minister Mansukh Manadivya lauded India’s efforts at tackling the Covid-19 pandemic at the global level. He said that ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ is India’s heritage and the country was successful in delivering medicine and vaccines to more that 180 crore countries. Speaking on the World Health Day, the health minister said that the country Is fulfilling its responsibility for the world in the health sector.
Wish for the health of the whole world: Mandaviya
Health Minister Manush Mandaviya said that he wishes for the health of the world, keeping India’s heritage Vasudev Kutumbakam in view. the country is fulfilling its responsibility for the world in the health sector under the leadership of Modi ji. During the Corona period, we had seen that there was a shortage of medicines all over the world, then our country made medicines available to more than 180 countries, and along with it vaccines were also made available,” the Health Minister told ANI.
India Covid update
India has seen a steep rise in daily number of Covid cases. The country has recorded 6,050 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the active cases tally to 28,303. In the same duration, 14 fatalities have been reported. Meanwhile, the daily positivity rate has been recorded at 3.39 per cent and the weekly positivity rate at 3.02 per cent.
Manadviya has called a review meeting with the health ministers of all the states today amid the exponential rise in daily number of cases across the country.
The review meeting will take place via a video conferencing where the union minister will connect with the health ministers of all the states.
Several states have seen an unprecedented surge in daily Covid cases.
