GT vs KKR IPL 2023: Vijay Shankar once again put on his tremendous power-hitting skills on display as he bailed out Gujarat Titans from a troubling situation. Coming in to bat in the 14th over after Abhinav Manohar’s wicket, Vijay wreaked havoc at the Narendra Modi Stadium with a blistering inning of 24-ball-63*. One of the highlights of his quick-fire knock were the three back-to-back sixes he hit in the last over. With the help of his knock, GT managed to post 204 runs in 20 overs, which is their highest score ever.

Rashid Khan led Gujarat Titans came in to bat first after winning the toss. However, the batting didn’t took off to a great start as Opener Saha was dismissed for 17 runs off 17 balls whereas Gill was dismissed for a score of 31-ball-39. After Abhinav’s wicket in 14th over and the score stranded at 118 runs, everyone was expecting Proteas star David Miller to come in, but the management placed their faith in Vijay Shankar.
Vijay lived up to the hopes and played the crucial 63* knock with a whooping strike rate of 262.50. Throughout, his knock, he slammed four boundaries and five maximums. In the final over, which was being bowled by Shardul Thakur, he smacked three consecutive sixes, also reaching his fifty in just 21 balls. Fans have been praising the lad for his knock.
