Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has sought help from Prime Minister Modi on humanitarian grounds. Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Emin Japarova, who is on a visit to India, handed over this letter to State Foreign Minister Meenakshi Lekhi on Tuesday (April 11).
In his letter, the President of Ukraine has requested India to help by sending additional medicines and medical equipment. At the same time, the Foreign Minister of Ukraine has said that Ukraine will allow Indian medical students studying in their country during the war to take exams for their qualifications in the state, which will be a big relief for thousands of students of India who started the war.
Ukraine wants deeper ties with India
Addressing a think tank in India, Deputy Foreign Minister Emin Japarova said that standing with Russia means being on the wrong side of history and that her country wanted closer ties with India. During this, Japarova also said that her country’s military relations with Pakistan started about three decades ago, but this does not mean that her alliance with Pakistan is against India.
Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Emin appealed to the Indian officials and said that India as a global leader and the current president of G-20 can play an important role in establishing peace. For this Indian officials should visit Ukraine. This will bring a change in India’s view of Ukraine. It may take time for India to build new and better relations with Ukraine, but it will definitely be able to do so one day.
