Beginning on July 1, 2023, a 62-day yearly pilgrimage to the holy cave sanctuary of Amarnath in the south Kashmir Himalayas is planned. According to news agency ANI, the registration procedure for the yatra will start on April 17, 2023, and will be available both offline and online.
The 62-day Amarnath Yatra will start on July 1 and end on August 31, 2023, according to a formal announcement.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha claimed that the administration is committed to providing a smooth and trouble-free pilgrimage while announcing the dates for holy pilgrimage and registration today.
The Pahalgam track in the Anantnag district and the Baltal track in the Ganderbal district would both start the Yatra at the same time.
The Lt. Governor also advised officials to uphold strict standards of cleanliness and to take appropriate action when it comes to sanitation and waste management.
3.65 lakh yatris made the 43-day journey in 2022 from June 30 to August 11 to pay respects at the 3,880-meter-high sacred cave temple.
