Weather Update: IMD has forecast relief from the heatwave in many states of India, including Delhi. The Indian Meteorological Department has warned about thunderstorms in Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. The department also issued a red alert for heavy rainfall in parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Lakshadweep.
The temperatures are expected to decrease by two to four degrees Celsius in Delhi and its neighbouring areas due to the formation of clouds. However, the department has also forecasted that the humidity level may increase, which could make the weather conditions uncomfortable. Read below to know today’s latest weather update.
Delhi
Delhi is predicted to remain sunny and bright today. Though, the temperature is likely to be lesser in the upcoming days even more. Humidity will be a bit more while winds will blow at the usual pace. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 36 degrees and the minimum will be 22 degrees.
Mumbai
IMD has projected that the city and its suburbs will be warmer today and sunny atmosphere with clear sky is on cards as well. Humidity will be at 81%, while the temperature will range in between 32-27 degrees.
Chennai
A clear day and sunny weather is ahead for Chennai today. However, as per the latest forecast, rains and thunderstorms will lash the region from Monday. The maximum temperature for today will be 34 degrees while the minimum will be 29 degrees.
Kolkata
As per the latest weather update, the day will mostly be sunny but isolated patches of clouds are likely in the city. From tomorrow onwards, regular rains and thunderstorms will lash the region till Wednesday. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 38 degrees and the minimum will be 27 degrees.
