KKR vs PBKS IPL 2023: Amidst the match between Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders, Shikhar Dhawan, the captain of the Kings, was spotted providing help to Rahmanullah Gurbaz, the wicket-keeper of the Knight Riders, who found himself in an uncomfortable situation. Earlier, taking on the role of opener, Dhawan anchored one end of the batting lineup for the Kings, as they endured the loss of wickets at consistent intervals.
Shikhar Dhawan shows true sportsmanship
Gradually escalating his scoring pace, the seasoned Indian player fearlessly confronted every bowler from the Kolkata team. In the 13th over, Shikhar Dhawan faced off against Varun Chakaravarthy, experiencing a dot ball on the first delivery. Subsequently, on the second delivery, Dhawan opted for a sweep shot that travelled along the ground.
Unfortunately, while attempting to halt the progress of this delivery, the ball struck him in the groin, causing him to collapse in pain on the ground. Coming to his aid and offering support, Shikhar Dhawan helped the wicketkeeper in stretching his legs. Just on the next ball, Shikhar Dhawan hit a six and completed his fifty. He was dismissed for a score of 57 runs in 47 balls in the next over.
