RCB vs MI IPL 2023: The highly thrilling clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians is currently underway at the Wankhede Stadium. RCB batted first and amassed 199/6 in 20 overs. In response, MI had a blistering start with opener Ishan Kishan playing a quickfire knock. During his special inning, he also smashed a 102 m six, that has now taken the internet by storm.
Ishan Kishan goes big
In pursuit of a challenging target of 200 runs, Kishan made a blazing start, including a stunning flick over deep mid-wicket for a massive six off RCB seamer Josh Hazlewood. This explosive shot helped Mumbai Indians gather momentum during the PowerPlay phase. Ultimately, the left-handed batsman departed after a quickfire 42 off 21 deliveries, comprising of four sixes and an equal number of fours.
The replays showed that the maximum actually went as high as 102 m, which is now the sixth highest in this season so far. The maximum came at the first ball of the fourth over, which was the second over of Josh Hazlewood. By the end of 4 overs, MI had scored 41 runs without losing any wickets. However, Hasaranga’s double strike in the next over dismissed both the openers and gave his team much-needed breakthroughs.
