Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath watched the film on Friday amid a political row over ‘The Kerala Story’. A special screening of ‘The Kerala Story’ was held at Lok Bhavan, Lucknow.
The entire cabinet of UP along with CM Yogi was present during this period. A special screening of the film was held at 11.30 am at Lok Bhavan Auditorium. The special screening of the film was attended by a large number of women. Women BJP members of Mahila Morcha and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad were invited to watch the film.
Before watching the film ‘The Kerala Story’, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya said, ‘I am very happy that I am getting the opportunity to watch ‘The Kerala Story’ at Lok Bhavan along with the entire cabinet. We demand lifting of the ban on this film in West Bengal. In the coming times, the truth of West Bengal will also come in front of the people.
Cabinet Minister Swatantra Dev Singh said, ‘Don’t know why ‘The Kerala Story’ is being banned, this film is made on the real pictures of the society, the incidents that have happened, this film will give direction to the society Children will be alert, it is not appropriate to ban artists.
On May 10, the team of the film ‘The Kerala Story’ met CM Yogi at his residence. During this, along with the film’s director Sudipto Sen, Bollywood actress Ada Sharma was also there. CM Yogi has described this meeting as a courtesy call. CM Yogi had also shared the picture of the meeting on his social media account.
There has been a controversy regarding ‘The Kerala Story’ for the last several days. The West Bengal government has banned the film in the state. While UP, MP and Haryana government has made this film tax free.
