According to rumours, Mahindra could soon introduce a small SUV to take on Tata Punch in the Indian market. Recently, testing of Mahindra’s compact SUV was observed. According to reports, it will be the company’s least expensive SUV and will go up against the new Hyundai Exter. Large SUVs were Mahindra’s speciality up until recently, but the business has begun developing tiny SUVs in response to the enormous demand for small vehicles in the SUV market.

An extremely strong powertrain will be installed in Mahindra’s upcoming SUV. A petrol engine with three cylinders and a displacement of 1.2 L is what drives the vehicle. This automobile will reportedly produce 82BHP and 115NM of torque at this capacity. In addition to a CVT gearbox, the car can be ordered with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Competition, launch and Price
Mahindra’s small SUV can compete with the Tata Punch, the Hyundai Exter, and the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. By the end of 2024, Mahindra could introduce its new SUV. This car may be purchased for between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 12 lakh ex-showroom. No official announcement has yet been made.
