Alwar lynching case: According to PTI, a Rajasthan court on Thursday sentenced four people to seven years in prison for lynching Rakbar Khan in 2018 in Alwar on the suspicion of cow smuggling.
According to Public Prosecutor Ashok Sharma, who was quoted by PTI, the additional district judge court found Paramjit Singh, Dharmendra Yadav, Naresh Sharma, and Vijay Kumar guilty of violating Indian Penal Code sections 341 (wrongful restraint) and 304(1) (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) while the fifth defendant in the case was exonerated for lack of evidence.
He stated that Naval Kishor had been cleared since there wasn’t enough evidence to convict him, and the court sentenced them to seven years in prison.
