Delhi murder case: In a FIR to the police, the father of the 16-year-old victim said that his daughter had been friends with a buy named Sahil for the previous year. The girl, who was attacked by a 20-year-old in Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy neighbourhood in Rohini, was stabbed 21 times. ‘My daughter would frequently bring up Sahil in our presence, but we would remind her that she was still young and that her top focus should be her education. She would become angry and go to her friend Neetu’s whenever we tried to explain this to her,’ according to the victim’s father.
Sakshi’s Last Days with Neetu Before the Tragic Attack
‘Sakshi had been residing with Neetu for the previous ten days,’ father continued. ‘When Sakshi’s friend Neetu came to tell us that a kid named Sahil had attacked Sakshi with a knife and stones that fateful night, I was at home.’ In his FIR, Sahil’s father admitted to Sakshi that they had argued the day before the murder. The father of the victim stated in the FIR, ‘When I arrived at B Block Shahbad Dairy with Neetu, there I discovered my daughter Sakshi lying dead with injuries to her head.’ The victim’s father, who was inconsolable, demanded strict punishment for the accused.
Unmasking the Horrific Moments of Sakshi’s Vicious Attack
Sakshi (16) suffered 21 stab wounds. The assault was so vicious that at one point the murder instrument, a knife, got caught in her head. A short while later, the murderer picked up a boulder that was nearby and began hitting the victim. Nobody attempted to stop the assault or intervene as he hit her with the boulder five times while it was being passed by onlookers. These were the images that a CCTV camera in a lane in Delhi’s Rohini neighborhood’s Shahbad Dairy neighbourhood caught. Sahil, the culprit, was detained in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, hours after perpetrating the heinous crime. Sahil, 20, fixes refrigerators and air conditioners.
