Pareshan Movie Review: The Telugu film industry welcomes another addition to its comedy genre with “Pareshan”, presented by renowned actor Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media. Directed by Rupak Ronaldson, the film offers a light-hearted depiction of life in Singareni, a rural village in Telangana. Despite its comedic undertone, critics argue that the film falls short of becoming a full-blown comedy.
The Everyday Life of Jobless Friends: A Journey through Pareshan
The plot of “Pareshan” revolves around the amusing antics of jobless friends – Isaac, Balaji, Sathi, and Pasha – living in Singareni. This tranquil village, home to a coalmine, provides the backdrop for their idyllic yet monotonous lives, filled with typical village activities like attending local weddings and church services, and pursuing romantic interests.
The story unfolds with a series of complications. Isaac, played by the rising star Thiruveer, inadvertently lends money meant for his uncle to Sathi, who requires it for a relative’s surgery. Amidst this confusion, Isaac’s budding romance with Sireesha (Pavani Karanam) takes a serious turn when she suspects she might be pregnant.

Pareshan: A Comedy of Errors with Room for Improvement
Rupak Ronaldson’s directorial venture, “Pareshan”, presents a series of misadventures that, while offering numerous laughable moments, does not consistently deliver on its comedy premise. Critics suggest that the movie, despite its simple and relatable storyline, lacks the depth and intricacy necessary for a classic comedy.
The ensemble cast, featuring local talents, delivers convincing performances, portraying the distinct culture and mannerisms of Telangana’s village youth. Thiruveer, who gained fame with “Masooda”, is a notable standout, carrying the movie’s narrative with his performance.
The film’s music, composed by Yashwanth Nag, mirrors the local essence of the storyline, further grounding the film in its rural setting. However, critics have pointed out that “Pareshan” might have benefited from a more engaging storyline to leave a lasting impact on its audience.
